Tongue Attack!

Remember Kirby's "animal friends" in some of the earlier Kirby games? Well, one of those friends was Gooey, appearing first in Kirby's Dream Land 2.

Kirby's Dream Land 2: In this game, Gooey can be found in bags after certain mid-boss battles. When found and the animal friend accompanying Kirby is the same as the one in the bag Gooey will help heal Kirby.
Hmm... that wasn't very interesting. Luckily his appearance in Kirby's Dream Land 3 gave him a bigger role.

Kirby's Dream Land 3: In this game Gooey fought alongside Kirby being controlled by either a CPU or another player. Gooey's powers resemble Kirby's except he uses his tongue to bring enemies into his mouth rather than inhaling. Gooey also has the ability to eat enemies underwater, unlike Kirby. But, unlike Kirby in this game, Gooey can't eat two enemies at the same time.
Notice how he uses his tongue to fight? Well that's why we're talking about Gooey. Check out the fighting methods of Peloo, a type of enemy from Kirby's Dream Land Three.
Peloo are invincible enemies that typically appear out of nowhere. They look around for Kirby, and when close enough, reaches out their tongues to grab him. If it gets Kirby it will chew on him and then spit him out, damaging Kirby.
Another enemy using their tongue to fight? Well, sure, that's only two. But now we go to Kirby Super Star and encounter the boss, Chameleo Arm.

Kirby Super Star: Chameleo Arm is actually a boss in three different sub-games in Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra. He appears in the Old Tower in the Great Cave of Offense sub-game, in Hotbeat in the Milky Way Wishes sub-game and, of course, is one of the bosses fought in The Arena. As you've probably already guessed, Chameleo Arm has a similar method of attack as our two friends mentioned previously. Besides by extending his limbs and rolling around to attack Chameleo Arm also can stick out his tongue quickly and pull Kirby or a Helper into his mouth, soon spitting them back out. These attacks are similar to Gooey and Peloo... but wait, there's more...
This thing looks like some sort of stuffed animal that you'd sleep with as a child, so the developers at HAL Laboratory only thought it right that they let it lick you. Oh wait, who in their right mind would ever let anything lick you? Apparently HAL Laboratory will let anything lick you, including these giant green frog monsters from Kirby's Epic Yarn.

Kirby's Epic Yarn: Oh though these enemies are rare "Slobbas" appear in Kirby's Epic Yarn in two levels. In the level Cool Cave and in the level Mushroom Run. Slobbas attack by eating and spitting up Kirby. The only warning sign to when they're going to stick out their tongues is when they lick their lips. They can only be defeated by throwing an enemy at them or becoming Weight when above them. They resemble frogs with yellow and orange button eyes and green eyelashes.

Even though I've already shown you four enemies that use their tongues to attack there are probably some of you still calling this a coincidence, refusing to believe this because of how weird and creepy it is. But wait, would two more villains change your mind?

Kirby's Epic Yarn: Fangora is the boss of Grass Land and the first boss in Kirby's Epic Yarn. This boss is faced after Bug-Bean Vine. After he's beaten you get the Magic Yarn and unlocks Hot Land. If you get sufficient beads during the Fangora boss fight then you're rewarded with the Mole Patch which unlocks the separate level, Mole Hole. But enough about that, what about Fangoras method of attack? First off, before attacking Fangora uses his wings to push Kirby into the corner. Then, it has a choice of two attacks. The attack most important to this post (and the one it always does first) is its tongue attack. Fangora shoots his tongue at Kirby either one, two or three times, depending on how many times you've already hit him.
And finally, in the newest Kirby game, Pyribbit is a boss who, guess what, uses his tongue to fight.
Okay, so there you have all of the enemies and bosses in Kirby who use their repulsive tongues to attack Kirby. Disturbing. I'll be sure to update this if we get more.
